Leadership in social education: a guide to in-service education for teachers 1946

This report, written by Kefauver and Edward Krug, is the result of a five-year study of the theory and practice of social education, involving 112 teachers and 31 administrators from 10 school systems in the western United States. The study was undertaken by the Stanford Social Education Investigation, which was established in January 1939. Workshops were held in the summers of 1939-42 and during school years participants carried out experimental projects.
